From your business profile to your business's agent

1

Point us at your business.

Give us your website — or the business profile you already maintain. That's the whole setup.

2

We build your agent from facts you already keep.

Your hours — including holiday hours. Your address and directions. Your services and prices. Your policies and amenities: the patio, the parking, the "yes, dogs are welcome." Your FAQ, if you have one. Organized into answers your agent can stand behind.

3

Put it everywhere customers already are.

A chat bubble on your website. A link in your Instagram bio. A QR code by the register and on the door. Rich messaging in your customers' texting apps — with cards, photos, and buttons for the things they'd tap next: call, directions, menu.

Three businesses, three real conversations — rich cards, tappable suggestions, honest answers. Everything you see here is something the agent actually does.

Maple Dental Business message
hi, how late are you open on thursdays?
Thursdays we're open until 7 PM — our late evening for after-work visits.
do you take Delta Dental?
I'm not sure about that one — insurance details aren't something I can confirm. The front desk can, though: (303) 555-0177, or tap below and they'll pick right up.

Doesn't know? Says so — and hands over your real number.

ok and do you take new patients?
Yes — new patients are welcome, and the first visit includes a full exam and X-rays. Most people book about a week out.

Your agent never guesses. It answers from your facts — or hands the customer to you.

"Open right now?" is computed, not improvised.

Your agent works out open-or-closed from your actual hours, in your timezone — holiday hours and late nights included. It will never tell a customer you're open when you're not.

Only your real contact details.

The phone number, email, and address it gives are the ones you publish. It cannot make one up.

Honest about the edges.

Ask it something your profile doesn't cover, and it says so — politely — and offers the fastest way to reach a human: you.

Closing early for Thanksgiving? Tell your profile. Your agent already knows.

You keep your business info where you already keep it. When your hours, services, or policies change, your agent follows — no dashboard to remember, nothing to re-train. One source of truth: yours.

In the apps your customers already use

Rich text messaging — cards, photos, and tappable buttons

A chat bubble on your website

A QR code for the door, the counter, the receipt

A link for your bio

One agent, everywhere your customers look for you.

We're onboarding founding businesses now

About.chat is new, and we're building it side-by-side with a first group of local businesses. Founding businesses get white-glove setup (we do it — you approve it) and a direct line to the team.

Questions owners ask us

What does it answer?

Anything your business profile covers: hours (including holidays), location and directions, services and posted prices, policies and amenities, and the questions on your FAQ page. Ask it something outside that, and it says so and shares your contact info.

What do I have to set up?

Nothing. Point us at your website or business profile and we build the agent from it. You review what it knows before it goes live.

Can it say something wrong about my business?

It only answers from the facts you've published and approved. When it doesn't know, it says "I'm not sure" and offers your phone number — it never fills gaps with guesses.

Where do customers use it?

Wherever you put it: your website's chat bubble, a link, a QR code, or rich text messaging with cards and tappable buttons.

What happens when my info changes?

Update your profile the way you already do; your agent follows. Holiday hours are the classic case — set them once and it answers accordingly.

What does it cost?

Founding businesses: free while we build together, and a founding rate when pricing launches. No contracts.
